Duncan Rand has been the GridPP London Tier-2 Technical Coordinator in the High Energy Physics Group, Imperial College London since January 2008. Prior to moving to Imperial College he worked for 2 years as a Computing Officer at Brunel University where he looked after the Brunel University and Royal Holloway, University of London GridPP computing sites. Before that he spent 5 years supporting Scientific Computing in the HPC section of the IT Service at the University of Durham. He is currently seconded half-time to Jisc working in the End-to-End Performance Initiative helping Janet users get the most out of the network. He has interests in AAI, networking and other infrastructure design for the effective distribution of data to facilitate the science discovery process. He's also interested in IPv6 and Information Centric Networking.
