Jakob Tendel is the principal research liaison and project manager at the German national research network DFN and is responsible for coordinating the activities of DFN and German user organizations relating to data mobility in international science projects. In this role he also contributes to the User Relations task in the GÉANT project. He completed his degree in meteorology at the Free University in Berlin and earned a PhD in meteorology at the Leibniz University Hannover for the application of satellite remote sensing to aviation safety forecasts. He contributed research and project management to international science projects in Europe and the US. He joined DFN in 2013 and the GÉANT project in 2014.
